Dr. Josephine Yip (or Dr. JoJo, as her little patients endearingly call her) was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Dallas, Texas. Her love for dentistry started when she was serving a global medical mission organization during her college years. She was astonished to see how dentistry impacts lives and felt fulfilled when building relationships with patients. Dr. JoJo graduated magna cum laude from University of Texas at Dallas and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
After graduating from Case Western Reserve University, Dr. JoJo moved back to Dallas to be with her family. As she began to practice and develop her skills in the various disciplines of dentistry, Dr. JoJo recognized her passion for treating children very early on in her dental career. As a result, she has spent the last decade focusing on serving children and teens.
Dr. JoJo understands that each child is unique and does not utilize a one-size-fit-all approach in treating children. She strongly believes that positive dental experiences in childhood are essential for a lifetime of good oral health and does her best to instill this belief in her patients. Dr. JoJo places an emphasis on creating an enjoyable and reassuring experience for her patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. JoJo enjoys domestic and international travels with friends and family. She is definitely a foodie and loves various cultural cuisines.
